MOVEMENT AND DANCE MASTERCLASS

Physical Listening, A Guided Physical Experience

Physical Listening explores our untapped capacity for attending, observing and listening to other moving bodies.  The work nudges aside assumptions and accesses unexpected choices. We look at our accountability for making choices.

Areas of skill investigation include tactile, proprioceptive, visual, and auditory. The outcomes are personal discovery, gaining new skills sets and evocative discussion.

This class begins with inner explorations and moves into full bodied investigations in duos and small groups, covering:

    Physical Listening

    Movement as Behavior

    Exploring Rules of Engagement

    Negotiation and Reshaping

    Strategic Thinking

The dialogues cross disciplines and boundaries.  Movers of all levels welcome.
