Dance House Glasgow & Merchant City Festival have teamed up to support Janis Claxton Dance’s latest work POP-UP Duets (fragments of love), a unique performance that builds on the company's legacy of bringing dance to public spaces and new audiences.
On August 6 & 7, Janis Claxton’s intricate and dynamic duets will be seen popping up throughout Merchant City Festival performed by 4 dancers to a soundtrack composed music by Pippa Murphy. Show times 130pm & 4pm (approx 40mins around MCF).
Professional dancers are invited to join Janis Claxton for free company class on Friday July 29th.
Class will be contemporary technique and improvisation.
Class time 11am-12.20pm. Studio 1 at City Halls, City Halls, Stage Door Entrance, Albion Street G1.
POP-UP Duets will also be performed in the Edinburgh Fringe as part of the Made in Scotland Showcase.
