DANCER DEVELOPMENT RESIDENCY
This week will offer the opportunity to further develop technical and performing skills by working closely with internationally acclaimed artist, Stephen. Participants will receive a rigorous morning technique class including close analysis of technical issues that will push their dancing to new levels. The afternoons will be spent learning Pelton’s 2009 work, and a white light in the back of my mind to guide me. The dance is a deep, inwardly focused meditation on isolation and fear of the future which will challenge dancers’ dramatic performance skills. The residency will culminate in a two-hour durational performance installation of white light on the final day.
