MEGAN pEASGOOD

Ballet

Megan first began her training with Teresita Marsden, a former dancer with London Festival Ballet under the direction of Anton Dolin. At 16 she continued her training at Central School of Ballet.  During her 3rd year Megan performed with the graduation touring company, Ballet Central. During the tour Megan performed roles such as Princess Florine (Bluebird pas de deux) – The Sleeping Beauty, Neopolitan – Swan Lake, Waltz of the Flowers – Ashely Page's The Nutcracker and Christopher Hampson's Capriol Suite. In 2008 Megan received a BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Performance.

 

Upon graduation Megan went on to work with a variety of companies including, Scottish Ballet, Ballet du Rhin,Vienna Festival Ballet, and Ballet Theatre UK. During her career she performed in many ballets dancing many Principal and Soloist roles such as Cinderella, Myrtha – Giselle, and Clara – The Nutcracker.  Megan particularly enjoyed performing, Big Swans – Swan Lake, Cinderella and French Maid's – Ashley Page's The Nutcracker.

 

Megan is currently a Lecturer on the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Junior Conservatoire Modern Ballet Programme and teaches on the Scottish Ballet Associates Programme. Megan is also working towards her Masters of Education Learning and Teaching in the Performing Arts.
