Dance House Community Company was founded in 2011 for non-professional contemporary dancers in Glasgow.  Each term, the ensemble works with a professional choreographer to develop new work for performance. The Company has previously performed at Go Dance 15 and as part of The Gadfly Project at Go Dance 14, as well as and also at the Merchant City Festival annually since 2012.

This term the dancers work with Glasgow based artist Hayley Earlam who has previously worked with Marc Brew Dance Company, Curious Seed, Rosie Kay Dance Company, Retina Dance Company and Barrowland Ballet. They will create a piece for Merchant City Festival in July 2017

"I have the opportunity to develop contemporary dance skills working with amazingly talented and gifted choreographers who normally work with fully trained dance professionals. I live a 'little girls' dream when the choreographed pieces are performed for an audience especially in Glasgow's Theatre Royal. A fantastic way to keep fit, energised and age is no barrier!"

Dance House Community Company is recommended for dancers with at least three years experience preferably in contemporary dance.

If you are interested in joining the Dance House Community Company in the future, please contact Lottie on for more information. If cost is a barrier to participation please speak with Lottie, who will discuss a discount or bursary scheme.
