musical mania

with Chris JS Wilson

Back by popular demand! This term we go on a journey through the swing era sampling the delights of the 1920s through to the 1940s where you’ll learn much loved styles such as the Charleston, Stomp, Lindy Hop and basic tap rhythms. You will discover the magic of Bob Fosse choreography that used these styles as the basis for many loved routines from shows such as Chicago and Cabaret. So if you fancy being slinky and feline or flappy and tappy, this is the one for you!

What to wear: comfy clothes and jazz shoes or bare feet.

If you like this, you may also like to try 80’s Jazz, Music Video or Burlesque.

This class is not currently available, if you are interested in this style, please contact at info@dancehouse.org
