Although our Public Class programme may be quiet until September the Dance House Glasgow office is still buzzing with activity.

Throughout July we have been taking part in Merchant City Festival with performances of our community companies at GoMa, three different styles of workshops outside (in only slight drizzle!) and two sell-out dancealong screenings of Moana. We’ve loved being a part of this cultural festival right on our doorstep and are excited for what’s in store next year when it is part of the wider Glasgow 2018 Championships artistic programme.

Now August has dawned another month of festivals is ahead of us, this time just a short train ride away in Edinburgh. The whole office will be making their way to various International and Fringe Festival venues to catch the very best dance artists from around the world. We are delighted that many Glasgow based artists that we have previously supported or are currently working with are presenting work this summer and are especially excited for these upcoming performances:

These pieces have been selected from over 300 applicants from across the UK and represent a snapshot of the diverse work being created across the UK currently: https://edinburghshowcase.britishcouncil.org/main-programme/

Email our Programme Producer Lottie on lottie@dancehouse.org if you think there is other work we should also add to our diaries.

See you at the festival!
