The Big Dance Pledge is a chance to learn, make and perform dance with the rest of the world. Over 200,000 people in more than 2,000 locations across the world are expected to learn the Big Dance Pledge 2014 - why not join them?
This year's edition is created with fun and celebration at its heart by Scottish Ballet as part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme of the XX Commonwealth Games. Using rhythms and percussion, the dance is a complete mix of dance styles. It's under four minutes long and easy to learn, whatever your experience of dancing.
To help you learn the Pledge, why not join us for our Big Dance Pledge Class on Tuesday nights at Scottish Youth Theatre? Alternatively, there is a series of tutorial videos available to view online at The Big Dance Website. These videos not only show you the dance and how to learn it, but can be the starting point to make your own version - it's all up to you.
Once you are rehearsed and happy with your dance, be ready to perform on Friday 16th May 2014 from wherever you are - and be part of a unique wave of dancing across the world!
