hayley earlam


Hayley was born in Glasgow and began dancing at an early age. She began studies at university in French and Spanish before leaving to pursue dance training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

After graduating, she undertook an apprenticeship with Indepen-dance, Scotland's leading inclusive dance company providing dance for those with and without disabilities. Hayley is a company dancer with Indepen-dance4, an integrated, performance ensemble touring Scotland and beyond.  With Indepen-dance4, Hayley has toured extensively with works by Stop Gap, Christine Devaney (Curious Seed) and Ramesh Meyyappan.  The company frequently collaborates with other dance companies, Hayley has danced in projects such as Integrance, a collaboration between European integrated dance companies, presenting the work in Belgium and France and more recently Exalt in collaboration with Scottish Ballet and Marc Brew for Dance International Glasgow.

Hayley is a freelance dance artist and has had the pleasure of performing and delivering education for other dance companies such as Retina Dance Company, Barrowland Ballet, Scottish Ballet, Rambert and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.  She also co-runs Overdrive Dance Company, a Glasgow based dance company which aims to promote dance for boys and young men. Hayley continues to develop her practice in performance and facilitating dance for all abilities.
