Chrissie Ardill   

Always Dancing, Still Dancing & Contemporary

Chrissie is a choreographer, teacher and performer originally from Ireland and based in Glasgow, having studied dance in Dublin and then at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in Dundee. She is the founder of Underhand Dance, creating exciting new performances which have toured Scotland as well as elsewhere in the UK and Ireland. Chrissie is interested in playing with imagery, creating varied and unexpected work and in finding humour in unusual things.
Chrissie also often works with sound when choreographing, recording with performers and editing soundscapes specific to the project and the performers.

As a performer Chrissie has worked with various choreographers and companies including Barrowland Ballet, All or Nothing, Cryptic, Plan B, Stephen Pelton, Charles Linehan, Luke Murphy, Gary Clarke and Joan Cleville.

Chrissie has been Associate Dance Artist at Macrobert Arts Centre in stirling since 2012 as well as delivering classes and workshops for other organisations including Scottish Ballet, Scottish Dance Theatre and YDance, working with groups of all ages and abilities.
