Artistic Director/Chief Executive
Ailsa-Mary trained at the Dance School of Scotland and The Laban Centre for Movement and Dance (now Trinity Laban). On graduation, she worked extensively across Scotland as an Independent Dance Artist; performing, teaching and lecturing in a wide range of settings including a year based in the Highlands as Creative Dance and Movement Leader for Lochaber Region. Over a decade, she worked with several Scottish Local Authorities; University of Strathclyde; Scottish Qualifications Authority and for national organisations such as Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet, Scottish Youth Theatre and Dance House as well as within the private dance sector and in further education. In 2005 Ailsa-Mary was appointed as Associate Director (Education) for Scottish Ballet where she strategically developed the Education Programme, aligning it with Ashley Page’s acclaimed artistic direction and repositioning education at the core of the Company’s work. She became Artistic Director and Chief Executive for Dance House Glasgow in 2010.
